Alessio B biography

Self-taught street artist · stencil, spray, posters

At work. Mask, glasses, spray can.

Alessio-B was born in Padua in 1971. As a kid he drew on the walls at home. In Paris he found Blek le Rat’s stencils, then Keith Haring: a hard edge, flat colour, a figure you can read from across the street.

He graduated in architecture in Venice. After that he travelled through England, Spain, Morocco, the Caribbean and Tanzania, and came back painting in the street. The wall is still the first surface. In the studio the panels are plastered so they behave like one.

What comes back

Kids holding hands, or drawing a heart on concrete. Pop faces. And a joke: the Mona Lisa in a tuxedo is the portrait people remember.

How he makes them

Stencil and spray on the wall. On paper and sculpture he glues torn posters and newspaper, then oil enamel or spray paint. A lacquer seals the work and sets it hard. The poster stays. The piece stays one of a kind.

Where to see them

Venice Biennale, Urban Nation Museum in Berlin, Paris Art Fair, Super Walls in Padua. Recent walls on Via dei Colli 126 and Via Orus 2 in Padua, in Caorle for the 2026 Sea Festival, in Wernigerode, Kaunas and Aalborg.
